Frequently asked questions

How early do I need to book in?
Ideally, as early as possible! Even if your dress has not arrived, it is best to book in as soon as you know your wedding date as we book up quickly during our peak season. Usually we need 6-8 weeks for bridal alterations to be completed, and securing your spot in our busy schedule 6-12 months in advance is advised.

How much should I budget for my alterations?
This will vary depending on the alterations required, however most brides will spend $350-700 with standard alterations.
As a guide, hems average at around $200-300, and a standard lined gown with boning will be around $160 to adjust the fit. Bustles start from $40 for a single point French Bustle.

How many people can I bring to my fitting?
While our studio can cater for 4-6 friends, we recommend choosing no more than 2-3 to accompany you. We want the focus to be on you, and we require you to stand very still for some of the pinning so having less distractions is beneficial to everyone. Children are welcome, but again - this time is about you so best to leave them at home where ever possible.
What do I need to bring with me?
Aside from your dress, you will need to have your shoes and undergarments as early as possible as these can drastically change the way your gown fits. We can not start on your hem until you have your shoes.
We also encourage you to bring any accessories and jewellery you are considering as this is perfect opportunity to try everything on together. Scheduling your hair/makeup trial prior to your final fitting and collection is also welcome.
