Fittings
Most bridal garments require 1–3 additional fittings.
Clients agree to:
-
Attend all scheduled appointments

Arrive on time
Late arrivals may result in shortened fitting times.
Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a rebooking fee of $40.
It is the client’s responsibility to bring correct shoes, undergarments, and accessories to fittings where required.
Weight & Fit
Alterations are fitted to your measurements at the time of each fitting
Significant weight changes after final fitting may affect the fit of your garment
Additional alterations required due to body changes may incur further charges
Final Payment
Final invoice issued approximately 7 days prior to collection
Invoice must be paid prior to pick up - garments will not be released until paid in full
No EFTPOS on site
Non-collection
Garments must be collected on or before the agreed collection date.
Due to limited storage in our studio:
-
Storage fees may apply to garments left beyond 7 days after agreed collection.
-
Garments not collected within 30 days may be considered abandoned unless prior arrangements are made.
Care & Liability
All reasonable care is taken while garments are in the studio.
However:
-
Clients must disclose any pre-existing damage, fragile fabric, or previous alterations.
-
Delicate fabrics (including silk, lace, tulle, beading, sequins, vintage materials, and embellished garments) carry inherent risks during alteration.
-
Some fabrics may show stitch marks or minor texture changes when altered.
While every effort is made to avoid damage, certain risks are unavoidable due to the nature of garment construction and fabric properties.
Liability is limited to the cost of the alteration service provided.
The business is not responsible for:
-
Pre-existing damage
-
Undisclosed prior alterations
-
Damage occurring during third-party transport
-
Changes in fabric condition due to age or manufacturer defects
Nothing in these terms limits rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Event Date
Clients must inform the studio of their wedding or event date at the time of booking.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure alterations are completed with sufficient time prior to the event.
Last-minute bookings may incur rush fees and are subject to availability.
Rush Fee
Where timelines are significantly shorter than standard scheduling allows, a rush fee may apply.
Acceptance of rush work is at the discretion of the studio.
Cancellation
Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.
You will be invoiced for work already completed.
Any materials purchased specifically for your garment will be charged.
Refusal of Service
The studio reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where:
-
A garment is deemed unsuitable for safe alteration
-
Deadlines are unrealistic
-
Communication or behaviour is inappropriate
Any work completed up to that point will be invoiced.
Social Media
By engaging our bridal alteration services, you acknowledge and agree that progress photographs of your garment may be taken in-studio during the alteration process for documentation and portfolio purposes.
These images may be used for marketing, portfolio display, website content, and social media publication. Any images shared publicly will:
-
Be published only after your event date;
-
Feature the garment only;
-
Exclude faces and any identifying body parts;
-
Exclude personal details such as names, event location, or other identifying information.
If you prefer that no images of your garment be used for marketing purposes, you must notify us in writing prior to your first fitting.
Agreement
Payment of any booking fee, deposit, or invoice constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
